JH Sealants is currently undertaking specialist sealant works as part of the construction of a new Busy Bees nursery in Whitstable, Kent.
Working as part of the wider construction team, we have been appointed to deliver a comprehensive programme of internal and external sealant works, providing both essential weatherproofing and a high-quality finished appearance throughout the development.
External Sealant Works
Our initial works on the project are focused on the external areas of the nursery. This includes:
- Pre-sealing to clad interfaces around windows
- Sealing of expansion joints
- Finished sealant applications to external windows
- Finished sealant applications to external doors
- Ensuring joints are suitably sealed and finished to provide a durable, weather-resistant result
Particular attention is being given to the interfaces between different materials and building elements, where correctly specified and professionally applied sealants are essential to prevent water ingress and provide a clean, consistent finish.
Internal Sealant Works
Once the relevant areas of the building are complete and ready for our teams, JH Sealants will return to undertake the internal sealant package.
This will include sealant works to:
- Internal windows and doors
- Kitchens and associated installations
- Bathrooms and sanitary areas
- Flooring and floor-to-wall junctions
- Other internal interfaces requiring a professional sealant finish
Our internal works will be coordinated with the wider construction programme to ensure areas are completed and suitably prepared before sealing takes place.
Quality & Attention to Detail
With a new-build nursery environment, both performance and presentation are important. Our approach is to ensure every seal is carefully prepared, applied and finished to provide a clean, consistent appearance while delivering the required protection and durability.
JH Sealants’ involvement across both the external and internal phases allows us to provide a complete sealant solution for the development, working alongside other trades to ensure the finished building meets the required standards before handover.
