Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Mastic is a flexible, waterproof sealant used to fill joints, gaps, and seams in bathrooms, kitchens, windows, and construction areas.

It prevents water, air, and drafts from entering and protects surfaces from damage

High‑quality silicone applied professionally can last 5–20 years, depending on ventilation, cleaning habits, and the type of product used.

You should replace sealant when you notice cracking, peeling, gaps, mould, or leaks. These are signs the joint has failed and needs fresh silicone.

  • High‑modulus: Interior joints (e.g., bathrooms), contains anti‑fungicides.

  • Low‑modulus: Exterior joints (e.g., windows, expansion joints), allows more movement.
